Finally found a battery place in Dubai that doesn’t overcharge or mess around
-
My Land Cruiser’s battery gave up last week right in the middle of a trip to RAK, and I had to get a jump from a stranger which was pretty embarrassing. I called three different shops near Al Quoz and got three completely different prices for the same Amaron battery, plus some wanted extra for fitting. A colleague at work told me about a place he’s used twice and said they show up on time, test the old battery properly, and don’t try to upsell you on stuff you don’t need. Went with that Trusted Car Battery Service Dubai and honestly it was so smooth, the guy came to my office parking, swapped it in fifteen minutes, and even recycled the old one without charging me extra. Feels good to not stress about getting stranded again.

Fifteen minutes sounds quick, so I’d want to know if he load tested the old one first or just swapped it. Also worth checking the date code on the new Amaron before it goes in. Plenty of stock sits in hot warehouses and starts life already tired.

Getting stuck on the way to RAK is miserable, and asking a stranger for a jump never feels great. Glad it’s behind you now. Office parking swap beats losing half a day at a shop.

Had the same price mess last year when mine died on my Prado. Three calls, three different numbers for an identical battery, and fitting charged on top. Ended up going with whoever quoted a flat price including installation and old battery pickup.

For a Land Cruiser in this climate, stick with the same group size and CCA as the original, and an Amaron is a sensible pick for the heat. Ask for the warranty to be stamped with the fitting date, otherwise claims get awkward later. The old battery should go to a proper recycler, so good that they took it.

Which Land Cruiser do you have, and how old was the dead battery? Also did they quote you a flat price up front or was it sorted once the guy arrived? Wondering how that compares with what I’d get at a regular shop.
