My wife and I are applying for visas and the embassy website

[John]

Good evening. My wife and I are applying for visas and the embassy website wants every document as a separate PDF: passports, bank statements, employment letters and so on. I photographed everything with my phone, so now I have about forty JPG files. Doing this one by one on a laptop with some random converter sounds like a long night. The deadline for submitting is next week, and we still need to book the appointment, so time is short. Is there a tool that can quickly turn photos into PDFs and maybe combine a few pages into one file where needed?

Visa paperwork, I feel your pain, we did the same for a family trip last spring. I used Convert2PDF and it made the evening much shorter. JPG to PDF turns each photo into its own PDF, and when a document has several pages, like a bank statement, Images to PDF combines those photos into one file in the order you choose. It works on a phone too, but with forty files I’d sit down at a laptop. Nothing is uploaded to their servers, which I liked with passports in the mix. One annoying bit: the files keep generic names, so I had to rename every PDF the way the embassy wanted. We got the appointment confirmed the following week, so it all worked out in the end. Plan ten minutes for that.
