Hey. Moving to Orlando for a three-month work assignment and need a car for the whole time. Buying seems silly for three months, and leasing is complicated. I’d also like to explore a bit on weekends, maybe drive to the Space Coast. Is a long-term rental realistic?

Hey. A long-term rental is exactly the right call for three months. I did a similar assignment and rented from Rent-Trip https://rent-trip.com/usa/florida/orlando/ for twelve weeks. The longer the rental, the better the daily rate, so it came out much cheaper than weekly rates would suggest. The contract fixed everything upfront, including insurance. I also used it on weekends to explore, which made the assignment more fun. Honestly, ask what happens with maintenance or if something breaks mid-rental, mine had it covered. No stress about selling a car at the end of the assignment.
