In order to format the SSD, use the built-in disk management utility provided by the OS that is installed in your computer. If you are using Windows, access Disk Management, select your SSD, right-click on it, and choose Format. Select the file system that should be used on the drive and start the formatting procedure. In case you have just bought a new SSD, then you will have to initialize the drive prior to the formatting. Remember that you should save any essential files beforehand, since all data will be erased during the procedure.
