MMOexp Borderlands 4: Why This Mission Matters

Here's a quick breakdown of everything you need to Borderlands 4 Money do in One Slimy Issue:

Talk to Beth at Lakeside Properties after finishing One Gassy Issue.

Break into her lab using locust gas canisters and reboot the system by activating both switches.

Repair the first monitor device: Defeat THE SCRAPVENGER, recover the missing part, and reinstall it while fending off threshers.

Repair the second monitor device: Retrieve the spare part from the crane platform, fight Creeps, clear overgrowth, and restore the system.

Battle the Omega Thresher in its arena using gas canisters to break its armor.

Discover Colonel Oatmeal, then return to Beth for rewards.

Why This Mission Matters

While One Slimy Issue offers the usual Borderlands rewards of XP, cash, and Borderlands 4 Gear, the mission also develops Beth's role in the story. Her resilience against the Order grows stronger with every quest, and reuniting her with Colonel Oatmeal adds emotional weight to her arc. Plus, the Omega Thresher encounter is one of the more memorable mid-game battles, combining puzzle-like mechanics with the series' trademark chaos.

By completing this quest, you not only help Beth strengthen her surveillance operation but also unlock a weapon reward that could prove valuable for the challenges ahead. It's a slimy situation worth diving into.

Crystal Brawl is the twelfth main mission in Borderlands 4 if you choose to pursue Vile Lictor's questline after defeating Idolator Sol and Callis. The Auger relic hints at your next step with the message, "find the Siren." This walkthrough will guide you through every stage of the mission-from your first encounter with Creeps in Bolten's Bore to the climactic battle against the refinery machine.

Starting the Mission

To begin, speak with Defiant Calder in Bolten's Bore. If you just wrapped up the mission Shadow of the Mountain, you'll already be in the right place. Calder points you eastward, toward the Mountain's Apse, where the mysterious Siren is said to be waiting.

Your journey starts with a trek through the cavernous interior of the mountain. The enemies you face here are Creeps-insectoid creatures that often attack in swarms. Some of them carry shields, so pack weapons with Incendiary and Shock damage to burn through their defenses. Having sufficient Borderlands 4 Money can help you a lot.

Tip: Creeps thrive in close quarters. A shotgun paired with splash-damage ordnance works wonders, especially against Thornshield Creeps, which can reflect bullets with their tails. Avoid touching their thorny armor, as it inflicts melee damage.

Push forward through the winding path, trail deeper into the mountain.

Reaching the Crashed Ship

Beyond the first cavern lies a grapple point. Watch for an ambush from Kratches as you cross-these foes love to attack in groups. Once cleared, continue southeast until you discover the wreckage of a massive crashed ship.

To reach it, fight your way past Manglers and more Kratches, then scale the cliffs using grapple points and walls. At the top, a cutscene introduces the Siren you've been seeking: Amara.

With her arrival, the Bones of Sanctuary fast travel point unlocks, providing access to buy Borderlands 4 Money vending machines, a respec station, training dummies, and even a firmware transfer machine. Stock up here, because the next phase is a gauntlet.
