What checks would help establish that I have reached the intended domain before I follow an account or document-upload link? I understand that HTTPS protects the connection, yet it does not tell me everything about the company behind the page. I would also like to know how to handle a login page on a different address from the public site. Advice on checking that relationship and saving the relevant documents would be useful before I create a profile.
