In Odin: Valhalla Rising, exploration is more than just wandering through beautifully crafted realms—it’s about uncovering secrets that reward dedication, precision, and mastery of the world. Among the most iconic collectibles in the game are Odin’s Ravens, mysterious spectral creatures that act as the Allfather’s eyes and ears across the Nine Realms. Tracking them down is both a test of awareness and a rite of passage for players who want to fully experience what Odin Diamonds has to offer.

Vanaheim, one of the most expansive and complex realms in the game, contains a significant number of these Ravens. From dense jungles and flooded deltas to towering cliffs and night-locked arenas, each Raven location challenges players in a different way. This guide provides a complete breakdown of all Odin’s Raven locations in Vanaheim, along with tips, prerequisites, and traversal advice to help you collect them efficiently.

    Why Odin’s Ravens Matter

Odin’s Ravens are not just collectibles—they directly tie into character progression. Each Raven you defeat contributes toward milestones that unlock new armor sets and powerful Runic abilities at the Raven Tree in Niflheim. These rewards are particularly valuable for players pushing into late-game content, PvE challenges, or competitive modes.

Because many Ravens are hidden behind puzzles, time-of-day mechanics, or story progression, Vanaheim is often where players realize that Raven hunting requires patience and planning rather than brute force alone.

    Southern Wilds Ravens

    The Southern Wilds – Odin’s Raven 1

Your first Raven encounter in Vanaheim appears early in The Southern Wilds, making it an excellent introduction to the region’s layout. From the Mystic Gateway, head north until you encounter a massive tree blocking the direct path. Instead of circling it, veer left toward a stone archway. Beyond the arch lies a shallow pool where the Raven can be seen flying in wide arcs overhead.

This Raven is easy to spot and serves as a reminder to always scan open skies in Vanaheim—many Ravens favor wide, unobstructed flight paths.

    Freyr’s Camp Ravens

    Freyr’s Camp – Odin’s Raven 1

Shortly after leaving Freyr’s Camp alongside Freya, you’ll pass through a tunnel and approach a series of ledges beneath a large tree. Instead of dropping down as the path suggests, head left toward the nearby lake. The Raven is perched above the water, positioned to the left of a massive blue ring structure.

Be aware that if you’ve already progressed The Abandoned Village into daytime, thick vines supported by blue rings may obstruct the Raven. While you’re here, explore the nearby coffin over the fallen log—it contains Honed Metal and Hacksilver, making this detour especially worthwhile.

    River Delta Ravens

    River Delta – Odin’s Raven 1

This Raven is tied to a multi-step environmental puzzle near Pilgrim’s Landing, located in the northern portion of the River Delta. Begin by beaching your boat west of the ruined buildings and eliminating the Reavers guarding the shore.

A drawbridge blocked by Red Fungi Bramble bars progress. Use a Sigil Arrow to ignite the torch on the left, then sever the two anchor targets with the Leviathan Axe to lower the bridge. Beyond it, you’ll face additional Reavers supported by Cursed Nokken, which must be defeated first to prevent enemy healing.

The key puzzle involves a chandelier suspended from a massive tree. By cutting it down, lighting it using the Blades of Chaos, and transferring fire with Sigil Arrows, you can burn away additional bramble and unlock the final path. Once complete, lower the second drawbridge and approach the Legendary Chest. From the left-hand archway nearby, you’ll finally spot the Raven perched in clear view.

    River Delta – Odin’s Raven 2

Although listed under the River Delta, this Raven is accessed via Cliffside Ruins. To reach it, climb through Cliffside Ruins, use the Rune Slate to open Goddess Falls, and pass through The Veiled Passage at the river’s southern end.

After exiting the tunnel, slide down the golden chain and head right toward the Lore Marker. Behind it, the Raven rests on a branch overlooking the river below. A well-aimed Axe throw will take it down.

    Goddess Falls Ravens

    Goddess Falls – Odin’s Raven 1

This Raven circles high above Goddess Falls and is difficult to hit from below. The ideal approach is to climb to the top of the falls and stop before descending. From this vantage point, look upward and slightly right—the Raven will swoop directly toward you, offering a brief but perfect window to strike.

Timing is crucial here, making this one of the more skill-based Raven encounters in Vanaheim.

    The Veiled Passage Ravens

    The Veiled Passage – Odin’s Raven 1

At the start of The Veiled Passage, beach your boat and immediately turn around to face the water. Look up toward the cave ceiling to spot the Raven perched on a high branch near the rock face. This Raven is stationary, but its height can make aiming deceptive.

    The Abandoned Village Ravens

    The Abandoned Village – Odin’s Raven 1

Prerequisite: Start the “Creatures of Prophecy” main quest

This Raven only becomes available during your second visit to Vanaheim. During the Creatures of Prophecy quest, you’ll enter the Great Hall while chasing a thief. After battling Einherjar enemies, you’ll set up a swing pole to cross a gap.

Before swinging, look across the gap and to the left—the Raven is perched inside a massive hollow tree trunk. If returning later, use the Mystic Gateway unlocked after completing the quest and re-enter the Great Hall to spot the same tree from the southern exit.

    Eastern Barri Woods Ravens

    Eastern Barri Woods – Odin’s Raven 1

Found early during your second visit to Eastern Barri Woods, this Raven appears after a fight with Cursed Gulon and Nokken. At a fork in the path, destroy the yellow Wind Fissure to the right using the Draupnir Spear.

Beyond the tunnel, look high to the right at the base of a tree to find the Raven perched above. Watch out for spitter plants nearby—they can interrupt your aim at the worst moment.

    The Plains Ravens

    The Plains – Odin’s Raven 1

Located in the northeastern corner of The Plains near Brok’s workshop, this Raven is perched across a wide chasm to the east. Line up your throw carefully, as distance can distort depth perception.

    The Plains – Odin’s Raven 2

In the western half of The Plains, head just west of the frozen lightning bolt landmark. From there, look northeast to spot the Raven perched atop a high cliff.

    The Plains – Odin’s Raven 3

From the main lake area, travel to the northwest corner and climb over a fallen stone column. Drop down the cliff and approach the nearby cave. At the cave’s edge, look down and left to find the Raven grooming itself on a lower ledge.

    The Plains – Odin’s Raven 4

This Raven is technically meant for nighttime access, but can be reached during the day. Head to the Celestial Altar in the northwestern Plains. If you previously kicked down the metal plate, simply climb up. Otherwise, circle around through a grappling cave to reach the upper platform.

From the ledge, look down toward the southwest to spot the Raven perched on a rock below.

    The Plains – Odin’s Raven 5

    Prerequisite: Nighttime

The final Plains Raven is found in The Crimson Dread’s arena. Use the Celestial Altar to switch the time of day to night, then enter through the northern gate of the main lake. Take the right path and squeeze through the narrow passage.

Inside the dragon’s lair, follow the left-hand wall to find the Raven perched above a small pit near the entrance.

    The Jungle Ravens

    The Jungle – Odin’s Raven 1

Prerequisite: Complete “Return of the River” Favor

After flooding the chasms by completing the Return of the River Favor, row to the Ogre arena in the northeastern Jungle buy Odin Diamonds. The Raven is perched midway up the southern wall of the arena.

    The Sinkholes Ravens

    The Sinkholes – Odin’s Raven 1

Prerequisite: Complete “Return of the River” Favor

This Raven is located near The Ash Tyrant’s lair. Once access is unlocked, you can either approach from the northeast shoreline and strike it mid-flight using the Draupnir Spear, or climb to the arena’s southwest edge and take it out cleanly with the Leviathan Axe.

    Final Thoughts

Vanaheim’s Odin’s Ravens are a perfect example of how Odin: Valhalla Rising rewards players who fully engage with exploration, puzzle-solving, and world mastery. Many Ravens are easy to miss during normal progression, but hunting them all provides not only powerful rewards, but a deeper appreciation for the realm’s layered design.

If you’re aiming for full completion or endgame power, tracking down every Raven in Vanaheim is time well spent—and a true testament to your devotion to the Allfather.
